How does your child begin to connect with the world, even in infancy? Many a marketer will sell you toys, as
well as educational strategies for making your baby more intelligent. Book companies are ready to help with early
reading; TV shows are waiting to entertain. How do parents make their ways through the hundreds of "pulls" to
sell to the baby and younger child, to a simpler, cohesive way of raising the child and helping his/her
development?
Rudolf Steiner gave many ideas on the development of the child and its early connections to the world, among
them a new way of looking at learning and the sense, all twelve of them! He suggests how early development
supports later higher order thinking, as well as strengthening artistic and mental growth of the child.
